Food For Thought – Advice

1 of 0

When is the right time to listen to your peers? I’ve learned that accepting or rejecting advice from others can alter levels of success. That doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be less successful if you reject opinions or suggestions people have, quite the opposite. It’s often intriguing to listen to what close friends have to say and it’s up to you if you’d like to take in that advice and make changes based on their opinion. The problem I sometimes have is that everyone has an opinion and some people get mad when I’m not interested in what they have to say. That’s not being rude, that’s just me trying to stay the course without getting side tracked. Up until today I haven’t altered or changed any of my designs based on people’s advice and suggestions because I feel like I have enough experience in what I do that it wouldn’t make senses for me to put my ideas on hold or change them for others. That however only applies to my work, when it comes to other areas in my life I’m always open to listen to those I care about and also listen those who care for me.
