Theophilus London – “Last Name London” by TheophilusLondon

A few weeks ago I was in the Dominican Republic working on my Spring 2012 line and Theophilus was in town for a concert. He came through to the Sebago factory in Santa Domingo and we went to work. We wanted the shoe to represent his current state of mind so he played the new single for me and that shit really blew my mind. Theo has a very unique style and it was only right that he would want to work on a classic penny. I was thrilled he did because that style really represents the other side of Sebago, the side that most people don’t know about. This 1 of 1 triple black Classic Penny Loafer is made with Jet-Black 2H rich suede with black Patent leather and the traditional leather sole. So very clean. After we made these joints we rolled to the radio station where homie tore down the building, smh… I wish I caught that on tape. And later that night he performed at some heavenly spot on a rooftop with 350 people in these loafers. The entire trip was epic.

“I met with Ronnie in Santo Domingo as he was designing his fall line for Sebago and he wanted me to design a shoe to perform in that night for the concert. I nicked named em “Prince TL’s” but after Ronnie heard “Last Name London” we decided to design a loafer for the song. I’m a Shoe collector and a fan of Suede and leather and I wanted to combine the two. There is only 1 pair in the world and they on my feet!!!!! Shouts to SEBAGO and Ronnie. SWAG SWAG” Check out the Theophilus blog on Hypebeast here.
